Hosted buyers: quality, not quantity

At every Conventa we aim for top quality of hosted buyers. Each year, the number of hosted buyer is growing, but slowly, since our motto is quality over quantity. We decline more than 200 applicants every year and thoroughly examine each applicant before they are invited as hosted buyers. We also want to make sure that we bring new buyers every year and in 80 %, they join us for the first time.

Potica, a symbol of 10th Conventa trade show

Celebration is crucial for every successful project. At Conventa, we’re celebrating with “potica” – traditional festive cake of Slovenia, that usually comes with nut filling, but you can also have potice with poppyseed, cottage cheers, hazelnut, tarragon etc. Potica is just like Conventa – traditional, sweet, tasty and once you have a taste, you can’t get enough of it. It also symbolizes celebration and that’s why we thought it is more than appropriate to choose potica as a symbol for 10th jubilee Conventa.

We’ve been creating Conventa since 2009, which means that in the upcoming year, Conventa is celebrating 10th anniversary. 10 years of success, friendship, connections. Let the numbers speak for themselves: from 2009 to 2017, Conventa led to Ljubljana 2.286 meeting planners from 48 countries. In all these years 1.192 exhibitors from 17 countries presented at the GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre.
